The Dalai Lama Endorses Everest Peace Project Film:
Everest: A Climb for Peace

The Dalai Lama Endorses The Everest Peace Project's Upcoming Documentary Film

I am proud to announce that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has officially endorsed The Everest Peace Project’s upcoming documentary film – Everest: A Climb for Peace.

This is a great honor and I am humbled at such incredible news. On a personal note - being a Buddhist and having great respect and admiration for His Holiness and his life long mission of bringing peace and compassion to the world, there is no greater honor for me and the project that I have dedicated over 50 months of my life towards than this. However, more importantly, this truly validates the significance and need of such a moving and inspirational film as we are currently producing.

Please see the quote below.

In peace,

Everest: A Climb for Peace is currently scheduled to be released in Fall 2007.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama Endorsement / Blessing Quote:

“I am always impressed when, in addition to words of support, people actually undergo some physical hardship to further the cause of peace. Undertaking to climb Mount Everest under any circumstances takes great courage. The Everest Peace Project’s film Everest: A Climb for Peace is a tremendous achievement from several points of view. Not only does it document a spectacular climb of the world’s tallest mountain, but it also shows how the project brought together people from different faiths and cultures, who worked successfully as a team to accomplish their goal. It reinforces my strong belief that if we adopt the right approach and make a determined effort, cooperation, trust and understanding can always be established for a true and worthy cause.”
