URI Multiregion

Hi URI Friends:

The other day Dr. Noel Brown and myself teamed with Eckerd College to lead an interfaith roundtable on the topic of ocean acidification.

The program was sponsored by Eckerd College, Waves of Change, and Global Healing and supported in part with a URI grant.

The event included participants from the Jewish, Muslim, Christian (including Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, and Protestant) Bahai, and Hindu faiths.

It also included marine scientists from three colleges and universities and an environmental law professor from Stetson Law School. The interfaith group made a commitment to continue to meet and work together on critical environmental issues.
