Cooperation Circles

On this Web site you will find Cooperation Circles with projects that span more than one continent or region of the world. Although these groups seldom meet face to face they are learning to talk and work together through the Internet. Each is a virtual family.












A. Environment, Healing People & the Earth

A Circle of Healers: Gathering circle of healers from all traditions and all methods who bring healing to the Earth and to all living beings.

Environment Satellite: Striving to encircle (like a satellite) and provide support to the entire URI “constellation” (of councils, committees, CCs) so that URI can more fully realize our shared commitments under the URI Charter to “create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings"

Global Healing: To implement the Call to Global Healing bringing ethics to public policy for peace, justice and sustainability.

Spirituality and the Earth: Linking the People of the Earth: To foster and facilitate communication and cooperation between all those who feel a spiritual connection with the Earth.

 

B. Interfaith Action Projects

The Everest Peace Project: Learn about their history-making film - Everest: A Climb for Peace.

The Faiths Without Border: To promote constructive dialogue and cooperation between people from different cultures and faiths and convictions, internationally.

Global Family of Love and Peace: Promoting Interfaith Dialogue.

Happy Heart Compassionate Eating: Educating and inspiring others in ways to make our food choices reflect our compassionate worldview.

Mazdayasnie ZC Global URI CC at Zoroastrian: Promoting interfaith peace through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds.

URI Expressed Through Music & the Arts: Gathering together musicians, artists, dancers, those in radio and television and theater to bring fresh creativity to the varied expressions of the URI.


C. Peace

Golden Rule: Let us use the Golden rule as a password in our work of interfaith harmony and building and a culture of peace.

2048 Project (Formerly: International Convention on Human Rights): Our Mission is to draft an international framework for enforceable human rights that can be in place by the year 2048, the 100th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

International Interfaith Peace CC: Promoting Peace in different countries of the world.

International Network of Peace Studies: Contributing to peace-building through interfaith dialogue, conflict transformation and non-violent communication.

People for Peace: Building a dialogue for peace and sharing peacebuilding tools with others. We are a network of peacebuilding trainers from Europe and the Middle East.

The United Religions Initiative at the United Nations: Providing an ongoing presence for the United Religions Initiative at the United Nations and engaging the URI in initiatives and agendas of the United Nations.

Think Peace Media and Communications: Telling the stories of peace in action in a variety of media formats based on the principles of United Religions Initiative as well the Decade of Nonviolence.

Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk: is walking around the world for peace from 2006 to 2010

Unity Walk: Brings together people of all ages, backgrounds, and faiths to walk as family - learning to respect each other's differences and serve beyond themselves.

URI Circle for Peace and Nonviolence Education: To be an on-line, globally-based group of URI members committed to sharing, learning, and teaching the ways of Nonviolence Communication and Training in Nonviolence and Peace at core levels.

Voices for a World Free of Nuclear Weapons:  To create a global movement to eliminate nuclear weapons.


D. URI Support Issues

The Interfaith Observer (TIO): TIO is a monthly electronic journal created to explore interfaith culture locally and globally. It will provide historical perspectives, survey current interreligious news, and otherwise provide maps and sign-posts for newcomers.

TD Singh CC: To honor the memory of Dr. T. D. Singh by encouraging World Wide Science and Religion Dialogue and inviting all persons who are open to reflection and dialogue on the relationship between science and religion.


E. Women's Issues

The Pilgrimage Project: A Global Quest Among Women of Spirit For Equitable, Sustainable Peace For Equitable, Sustainable Peace.

United Religions Initiative Council for Women: Helping to create enduring cooperation among the people of the world...

Women and Spirituality: A multi-regional cooperation circle to bring women together to explore our common concerns and share the richness of our varied spiritual traditions.

WIN URI (Women’s Interfaith Network of the United Religions Initiative): To provide an interactive global network for women’s projects to be realized locally and globally.

URI's Women's Coalition MCC: Uniting the energies for women within the URI; creating a platform for joint activities, advocacy, communication and sharing of resources; strengthen and support existing women’s CC’s; align ourselves with other organizations who share our vision.


F. Youth

URI Global Youth CC: To be a global youth organization for URI.
